The Brief

 

In the winter we had an exciting opportunity to work on another Loungers restaurant for the group—this time in Bournemouth—a vibrant coastal town known for its 7 miles of beaches as well as its 19th century architecture and lively nightlife. Our task was to renovate an ex-retail discount store located on Wimborne Road to transform it into a brand new Loungers restaurant for Loungers LTD.

The Result

 

Our hard-earned know-how with bar and restaurant refurbishment that we’ve developed over many years was once again put to great use—to deliver something which would be both on-brand for Loungers LTD and unique unto itself—enveloping their customers in an atmosphere striking a balance between comfort and intriguing attention to detail. A walk through the front doors past the large inviting windows opens up onto a world of vintage-style furniture, tasteful decking, chic paintings and mirrors, as well as the other features you would expect from a Loungers restaurant. Conto Lounge’s interior is graced with 130 covers, with the added bonus of a dash of outside space to its front. The open-plan layout of the place has been skillfully divided up and includes a raised section to the rear.

We also made full use of our expertise with commercial kitchens to deliver some excellent commercial kitchen design while decking out the venue with some great commercial kitchen equipment. From a blue Seal suite, to a 6 burner range, to Meiko washing and more, Conto was well set for a great future and is still going strong today.
