Made by Bob – and it really is

The Brief

In October 2016 Bob got in touch to let us know that he was refurbing his open plan kitchen, bar and, pot wash.

Tailor Made originally designed and fitted Bob’s original kitchen 8 years ago, and the Mareno island cooking suite has certainly stood the test of time.

We were asked to redesign an open plan bar and kitchen around a new look low level counter and everything other than the pot wash sits front of house, inside a room with irregular arches and exposed brick work.

The Result

The pristinely refurbished Mareno cooking suit sits inside a horse shoe shaped counter with granite work top, allowing customers and chefs to chat between one another.

However, the real piece de resistance on this particular project was the new look bar that sits adjacent to the kitchen. Again, it’s open plan with horse shoe shaped bar/counter surrounding it and the attention to detail within is second to none. The stainless-steel coffee station is bespoke and built with the existing coffee machine in mind, the coffee knock out sits neatly within the table top directly in front of the two grinders, even the water softener has its own made to measure cupboard to keep it out of sight. In the centre is a bespoke stainless steel 1 piece bar housing a beer tap, keg cooler, double door fridge and floating stainless shelves for the pint glasses.

You really have to see it to appreciate the tidiness and attention to detail.

The pot wash is the only section of this kitchen that remains out of sight and includes a grease management system and reverse osmosis geo unit.

Bob really is chef that knows what his business needs and he was a pleasure to work with.
