The Ostrich - Outdoor kitchen

The idyllic location on Bristol harbourside and the exponential growth of alfresco dining due to the Coronavirus in the summer of 2021 presented an expansion opportunity for The Ostrich via its outdoor eating facilities.

 

Tailor Made, along with Architects Concorde BGW Group, created a Portside BBQ shack that serves up amazing Americana-inspired street food from a kitchen that was designed for speed of service.

 

We offered a turn key solution which include LPG cookline, extract canopy and kitchen design and install, all of our design work and extract specs needed to be extremely accurate as the shack it’s self is a pre fab unit built to spec off site.

 

A run of refrigeration, gas salamander, prep fridges and chip fryer and scuttle allows for gourmet burgers, loaded fries, wings and mac’n’cheese to be made externally from the main kitchen to supply the bustling outdoor seating area. The shack consists of two ordering hatches to either side of the building that adds to the speed of service for eager diners, one delivering ice creams from a soft serve ice cream machine to satisfy any sweet craving when the suns shining and the other is the main collection zone for hot food.

 

This venue is well worth a visit.
